How to Merge Conversations in Clariti

Multiple chats for the same topic often lead to scattered ideas and repeated discussions. You end up jumping between threads, piecing together context, and losing sight of key decisions.

Clariti’s conversation merging feature lets you bring related discussions together into one unified chat, keeping your communication organized, searchable, and complete.

Tutorial Overview

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify and review conversations you want to merge.
  • Merge two or more related conversations via simple drag-and-drop.
  • Confirm and verify that all activities have successfully moved into one subject chat.

How-To: Review Existing Conversations

Before merging, review the conversations you want to combine.

  • Go to your Conversations view.
  • Click on each conversation (e.g., “Marketing Activities” or “Digital Marketing”) to check their activity lists.

Tips: Reviewing content ensures you merge only relevant discussions and preventing mix-ups between unrelated topics.

How-To: Initiate the Merge

Once you’ve identified related conversations, you can merge them directly from the conversation list.

Steps:

  • From the main Conversations view, click and hold the conversation you want to merge (e.g., “Marketing Activities”).
  • Drag it over the target conversation (e.g., “Digital Marketing”).
  • A tooltip appears: “Drop on related conversation to move.”
  • Drop the conversation to trigger the merge prompt.

Tips: This drag-and-drop merge keeps organization intuitive; no extra menus, no confusion about where information goes.

How-To: Confirm the Merge

Clariti makes sure you’re in control before anything changes.

Steps:

  • When the Merge Conversations confirmation box appears, review the message.
       1. It states that the source conversation will be deleted.
       2. All its activities will move into the target conversation.
  • Click Yes to confirm.

Tips: The confirmation step ensures you always know what’s being merged and prevents accidental data loss.

How-To: Verify the Merge

After merging, always verify that everything is transferred correctly.

Steps:

  • Open the target conversation (e.g., “Digital Marketing”).
  • Check that entries from the merged conversation like “Lead generation services (April 30th)” now appear in the activity list.
  • Click on a few items to confirm their content.

Tips: Verifying helps you ensure that all relevant history, decisions, and messages are preserved and ready for future reference or collaboration.
