Clariti’s Direct & Group Chat brings structure to instant messaging. Whether it’s a private one-to-one DM or a group chat around a project, every conversation stays organized by topic so teams move faster without losing clarity.

How-To: Start a Direct Chat

Direct Chats are designed for private, one-to-one messaging within Clariti — no need for separate chat apps.

Steps:

  • Click Contacts/DM in the left panel
  • Select a teammate’s name (e.g., Justin)
  • Type your message and press Enter
  • View all messages in a continuous chronological feed
  • Access ‘Show subject chats’ to see all topic-based conversations with this contact

How-To: Create a Group Chat

Group Chats in Clariti go beyond casual team messaging they’re built around defined subjects, ensuring focus from the start.

Steps:

  • Navigate to the Chats section in the left panel
  • Click New Chat
  • Select multiple participants (e.g., Pat, Justin, Emma)
  • Enter a descriptive Subject when prompted (e.g., “Planning for Friday’s Client Presentation”)
  • Your new subject-based group chat will open, automatically organizing all future messages and files around this topic

How-To: Keep Conversations Anchored to Topics

Once your group chat is created, everything from messages to files stays within that topic/subject.

Steps:

  • Open your group chat from the Chats list.
  • Send and receive messages as usual.
  • Attach files or links relevant to the topic; they stay tied to the same conversation.
